#8 Making Changes for a Great 2024: Oh, Joy!
Can you remember the last time you felt abundant joy?
Welcome back! If you are seeing this series for the first time, feel free to hop in right here or if you want to start at the very beginning head over to #1.
I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. (Jn 15:11)
Are you feeling joy these days? When was the last time? How long has it been? Jesus tell us to remain in him and abide in his love and then he says I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. (Jn 15:11)
We can have complete joy, by abiding in his love and following his commands…to love one another.
The Greek word for the phrase “may be complete” is plērōthē. According to Strong’s Englishman’s Concordance, this means “to make replete, i.e. to cram, level up, or to furnish, satisfy, execute, finish, verify, etc.”1
COMPLETE JOY
Here are the “fill in the blanks” today:
The last time I felt joy was ________.
I felt joy most in the past year when _______. (Or before then.)
I felt complete (replete, leveled up, furnished, satisfied…) joy when _______.
I can enter into joy today by ________.
And one to grow on for next time:
The thing that keeps coming up, that won’t let me go is _______. This year I will face it joyfully, bravely, and with wisdom. After prayer - I have discerned ______ and therefore have decided to _______.
I hope this continues to bless you. I think we’ll have one more and then we’ll take a break! We are in the desert after all. It’s hot. Best to be still.
