Made me smile Dorothy. We have friends that moved to Texas this year near Fort Worth. We have been there a half dozen times in the past two years. 120 degrees is extreme. I talked with my friend yesterday and it was 114. Your writing is real and full of normal life and is a breath of fresh air for regular folks. In all things give thanks and depend on the Lord to guide us. 😊Keep writing.

I grew up in Ft. Worth! I don’t remember it being that hot. Or maybe kids are just more resilient to the heat. Thanks for the encouragement. I keep aiming to keep it real with the writing!

Major changes are a brewing here. Connecting with nature always helps me feel grounded. We’re in the height of hummingbird season (you should get a feeder if you don’t already have one!) and it’s beautiful to witness. Thank you for sharing your story and for the invitation to comment ❤️

You answered a question I had this week: if I had a hummingbird feeder would they come? Yay! Getting one pronto. And yes I agree - nature. Get outside! We must continue to connect with each other during times of change for sure. ♥️

Love your words always! When I moved two years ago I sat in the quiet one morning alone with God. We chatted(I chatted aloud He listened) about all the happenings and how happy I felt in my heart...His response to me was clear as day...Trust the timing of your life! I went and bought a letter board and put that on it! It was in the house until it broke! After reading this I think I need to go get another one! That phrase just brings so much comfort to my soul as He does!
